Os jovens negros e o acesso a instituições de educação superior: vivências e impactos na subjetividade

Abstract

Education can be a essential tool to secure the individual and professional training of someone, since through it, people will be able to have access to better possibilities of life, work and, consequently, reach levels not previously reached due to lack of opportunity. Higher education became one of the most desired goal by most of the brazilian youth, especially the youth of color, who are looking for social ascension and better employment conditions, thus leading them to seek equal access to higher education institutions and their right to remain in these environments that often do not represent them. For this reason, the general objective of the study is to understand how access to higher education institutions contributes to the construction of the black population's subjectivity, considering race themes that permeate these environments. The methodology adopted for the preparation of this study is exploratory and descriptive, with a field research being carried out through a semi-directed interview with data analysis carried out from a qualitative approach, as well as bibliographical research, through book consultation. , scientific articles, theses and dissertations related to the subject discussed. The survey is intended for all those who are interested in the proposed topic. Thus, understanding how the process of educating young black people in higher education institutions to take place is to develop a critical view of the experiences these young people establish throughout their graduation period, taking into account the importance of the conquest of this space by black young people, the challenges that can be found in this process and what can be done by the educational institution itself so that there is a sense of belonging, representativeness and protagonism of these young people.
