Avaliação psicológica pericial no contexto de violação sexual de crianças e adolescentes em São Luís

Abstract

Forensic psychological assessment is an investigation process that is aimed at answering legal questions through techniques and instruments of psychological science. Its use in cases of sexual violence against children and adolescents can help professionals in the field of justice in making decisions about the crime committed. Thus, the general objective of the research is to investigate the procedures of expert psychological assessment in the context of sexual violence against children and adolescents. And the specific objectives are: to describe situations in which psychological assessment is requested; verify the psychological instruments used in the context of sexual abuse and identify protection laws for children and adolescents victims of sexual abuse. The methodology adopted is of a basic nature, and its objective is descriptive, it is configured as a documentary research and uses two quati-qualitative approaches. Data collection was carried out at two institutions: at the Police Station for the Protection of Children and Adolescentsm – DPCA and at the Technical Expertise Center for Children and Adolescents – CPTCA. At the end of the analyses, it was possible to identify that among the instruments aimed at investigating sexual violence, psychological assessment is adequate to what it is proposed to investigate.
