| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | A valorização da estética dentária associada ao padrão atribuído por dentes mais claros tem impulsionado a procura por tratamentos clareadores. O objetivo deste trabalho é avaliar através da revisão de literatura a eficácia da técnica de clareamento externo, suas vantagens e desvantagens em dentes traumatizados com intuito de defender um tratamento mais conservador. Foi realizada uma minuciosa análise da literatura, com artigos selecionados das bibliotecas virtuais BVS, MEDLINE, Google Acadêmico e SCIELO, pubmed, Lilacs, dos quais foram publicados no período de 1979 até 2021 os critérios de inclusão foram artigos em português e inglês e exclusão teses, artigos em outros idiomas. Diante da pesquisa foi possível observar que na tentativa de diminuir o risco de reabsorção radicular externa, principalmente em pacientes com histórico de trauma, o clareamento externo é uma opção de tratamento mais segura e menos invasiva, visto que, tem maior preservação da estrutura dental se comparado aos outros tratamentos restauradores, além do baixo custo. |
| Resumo: | The enhancement of dental aesthetics associated with the pattern attributed to lighter teeth has driven the search for whitening treatments. The objective of this work is to evaluate, through a literature review, the effectiveness of the external whitening technique, its advantages and disadvantages in traumatized teeth, in order to defend a more conservative treatment. A thorough literature analysis was carried out, with selected articles from the virtual libraries BVS, MEDLINE, Academic Google and SCIELO, pubmed, Lilacs, which were published in the period from 1979 to 2021. Based on the research, it was possible to observe that in an attempt to reduce the risk of external root resorption, especially in patients with a history of trauma, external bleaching is a safer and less invasive treatment option, since it has greater preservation of the tooth structure, compared to other restorative treatments, in addition to the low cost. |
