Desigualdade social na arquitetura e urbanismo: uma análise do filme Parasita e as condições de habitação divididas por classes

Abstract

The present research aims to make an analysis of the film "Parasite" (2019) in relation to social inequality in the cities and the housing conditions separated by classes represented through the film's scenography. For that, it was necessary to understand the importance of the role of architecture and its relationship with social inequality in

the main object of the study, the movie. It aimed to show the problems caused by socio- spatial segregation and how they are reflected in architecture, bringing an analysis of

the close relationship between this one and the cinema, also approaching the notion of housing as a determining factor in people's way of life. Therefore, in order to achieve the desired results, the study goes through a bibliographic research within the fundamental premises of the work, and reaches a factual analysis of the film, selecting the most relevant scenes and the frames that show the scenographic elements that convey the main message approached in the study. Furthermore, it was important to collect information made available by the director and the scenographer in charge of the production, providing the elaboration of a more complete research. It became possible to observe the importance of the scenographic aspects in the movie in question, since they are the ones responsible for communicating to the audience the message of the story told. In the end, it shows clearly the close relationship between architecture and cinema, acting the first one as an essential factor for the construction of the image, and for this reason, assuming the condition of component that facilitates the capture of the message passed by the production, the problems caused by social inequality. Thus, it is possible to perceive the importance of cinema and the representation of architecture and urbanism in the analyzed film.
