A atuação da psicologia na prevenção e no enfrentamento do bullying no contexto escolar

Abstract

The present work aims to show the concept of Bullying, identify the characters involved, the effects that Bullying can cause in the lives of these individuals, the importance of family, school and the role of the School Psychologist in combating and preventing and coping with Bullying. In order to reach these answers, the general objective is raised: The general objective of this work is to understand the way in which the School Psychologist acts in the fight against and prevention of Bullying in schools. The specific objectives are: Identify the ways in which Bullying is manifested and those involved; discuss the concept of Bullying and analyze the strategies that the School Psychologist can develop to combat and prevent bullying. This work is a bibliographic research, of a qualitative nature. In this method, the research was carried out by a literature review study, that is, it is based on material already elaborated in articles and books. For the construction of this monograph, a bibliographic survey of articles referring to Bullying and the performance of School Psychology against violence in schools was carried out. It is expected as a result to understand the importance of the school to carry out interventions in order to prevent or intervene in this phenomenon or any other type of violence within schools, in addition to understanding how important the family is in this process. The school psychologist should mediate their work together with the entire school team and the students' families. It was observed how much Bullying affects all the characters involved and that it produces effects and consequences that can affect the individual in social and psychological aspects for the rest of his life.
