Quanto mais profundas as raízes, maiores os frutos: análise histórico-crítica sobre a cultura patriarcal e as ações da administração pública afim de realizar o enfrentamento à violação dos direitos humanos das mulheres no Maranhão

Abstract

The present work consists of the analysis of patriarchy as a motivation for the violation of women's human rights, from the male perspective. Explain the influences, even if unconscious, of patriarchy in contemporary society in a way that legitimizes men to nurture the feeling of possession and hegemony. The creation of legal provisions to classify such violations and punish the aggressors is still being discussed. In the last paragraph it will be discussed that legal provisions alone are not sufficient to combat this violence, requiring the development of public policies in order to unite the formal with the material. The methodology used in this work is bibliographic, based on existing books, magazines and articles. The general objective of the research unfolds from the historical-critical analysis of patriarchal culture and the actions of the Public Administration in order to confront the violation of women's human rights in Maranhão. And the specific objectives are based on the idea of explaining patriarchy and gender in the face of male empowerment, examining the violation of women's human rights and the need to create legislative regulation and investigating public administration and the actions developed as a solution to combat , monitoring and evaluation of violence against women in Maranhão. It is also worth highlighting the exploration carried out by public policies implemented by the Public Administration of the State of Maranhão, with the Government of Flávio Dino and Carlos Brandão being analyzed. It should be noted that Dino's Government was a milestone in the history of the State, which created several actions and projects aimed at women in situations of violence and mainly with the aim of not returning to the center of violence. Brandão's Government, despite being recent, has been continuing all the projects instituted by Flávio and also creating new ones, mainly aimed at the State's municipalities, where the population is often forgotten.
